From the moment my Aunt first showed me her camera gear when I was a child, I became fascinated by photography. It has been a part of my life ever since, playing a smaller or larger role depending on what other demands I have on my time. As my husband and I began to travel more, I realized I was accumulating a large volume of photos and wanted to take my photography to the next level. I began focussing on it more as a way to express my thoughts on the world around us. When traveling a person notices everything - from the amazing vistas to the interesting towns - but even when in a very familiar environment photography allows one to notice things that might ordinarily be overlooked, or to see them in a new way. The art of noticing and bringing out the beauty, personality or humor in not just the spectacular, but also the ordinary, is something that I am fascinated by.
